Smart Energy Suite
Get BERT installed with little or no upfront capital. You pay a monthly fee per device, and under the agreement BERT guarantees that your verified monthly savings equal or exceed that fee. If they fall short, BERT credits the difference.
How it works
- Size the opportunity. BERT estimates your annual kWh and cost savings, device count and monthly fee, so you can see the net savings before you sign.
- BERT installs and commissions. BERT installs standard plug-in controllers and gateways, sets up schedules and makes the system available for use.
- Service begins. The monthly fee is billed per installed device from the service start date.
- Savings are verified every month. If verified savings are less than the monthly fee, BERT credits the difference on the next invoice.

- BERT controllers, gateway and BERTBrain software access
- Remote monitoring and schedule optimization
- Savings reporting and administration
- Maintenance support, with repair or replacement of defective components during the term
Good to know
- A typical initial term is 36 months, then month to month
- You own the installed hardware under the terms of your pricing option
- Utility rebates can be customer-controlled or handled by BERT and reflected in your pricing
- The guarantee depends on the system staying connected and used as agreed
